While these careers are often very rewarding — both personally and financially — many require a minimum of four to eight years of education before beginning a career. Pre-professional health career advising

Any student interested in a career in healthcare is welcome to meet with a career advisor to discuss that path. If you know which path you want to pursue, it is highly recommended that you declare a Pre-Professional Health track. Declaring a track will get you access to resources, events, and classes that may not be available to you through your major. The tracks we offer are:

VCU’s pre-professional health tracks are not an academic major or minor, but rather it is a combination of career development advising and a set of predetermined courses that are widely accepted across the nation for admission requirements.
