Post a Micro-Internship

To meet your part-time, internship, and full-time hiring needs, we recommend Handshake. If you are interested in hiring for short-term, paid, professional assignments that are project-based, you can leverage Parker Dewey as VCU's platform for posting project-based roles often referred to as Micro-Internships. The Parker Dewey platform connects VCU students and alumni with organizations like yours that need support.

Unlike traditional internships, Micro-Internships can take place year-round, typically range from 5 to 40 hours of work, and are due between one week and one month after kick-off (i.e., project-based). Companies ranging from those in the Fortune 100 to emerging start-ups and across departments including sales, marketing, technology, HR, and finance utilize Micro-Internships. These projects enable VCU students and alumni to demonstrate skills, explore career paths, and build a professional network as they seek the right full-time role.
