Career fairs and events
VCU hosts career fairs during the fall and spring semesters. Each fair offers students and alumni the opportunity to network with employers from a wide range of industries. More information about career fairs and participating employers can be found on Handshake.
Although professional dress is not required to attend these events, it is recommended to support your best first impression with employers.
How to register for a career and internship fair
Register for any of our career fairs through Handshake. If you would like to discuss networking during a career fair, update your career materials, or update your professional wardrobe before attending a career fair, you can make a career advising or Suit Yourself Closet appointment through Handshake.

Come learn about part-time and hourly opportunities around RVA! This is a great time to see what openings are available to you—and how you can gain hands-on experience (and earn a paycheck) while you are in school.
Healthcare Opportunities & Professional School Fair
Connect with healthcare and community-based organizations offering opportunities that unite your academic goals to real-world experiences, including volunteer and service hours, that advances your career development. Explore your options for meeting your academic and professional school application requirements. Network with representatives from a variety of professional schools, including VCU, to learn about program offerings and admissions processes. This event is hosted by VCU Career Services and co-sponsored by VCU P.R.I.M.E.
UNlimited Potential Career & Internship Fair
It's your time to shine at the UNlimited Potential Career & Internship Fair! Participating organizations are excited to meet VCU students and alumni, to share the skills and experiences they are looking for in future talent, and to help you learn about employee resource groups and internal opportunities to be an engaged professional. Some will also be recruiting for internship and full-time career opportunities.

RVA Internship & Experiential Opportunities Fair
Connect with organizations offering opportunities that unite academic goals to authentic, real-world work that advances your career development. Gain exposure to a work environment you want to explore through internships, field work, externships or international experiences. Network with organizations that can provide you with opportunities to get, practice and improve skills and career competencies in various industry settings. This event is hosted at VCU, and is open to college students from other institutions of higher education in RVA.

This fair will feature employers from the nonprofit, government, public service, human services and social assistance industries. Come connect with organizations who are looking to hire VCU students for internships (summer and fall), as well as full-time and part-time jobs. The participating organizations are excited to meet VCU students and alumni, to share what skills and experiences they are looking for in an employee, and to help students learn about affinity groups and internal opportunities for their employees to be engaged professionals in their roles.

Seeking and Providing Support for Queer Individuals in the Workplace
Workplace culture, policies, and practices can all be major contributors to the health and wellness of an organization's employees. This panel session -- designed for both members of the Queer community and their allies -- will address the unique challenges that LGBTQIA+individuals face in professional spaces. Panelists will also provide specific strategies for managing stress, preventing burnout, addressing microaggressions and discrimination, approaching identity disclosure, creating and advocating for inclusive policies, understanding and practicing allyship, and accessing key resources. Join us for an honest conversation aimed at helping you and your colleagues create and sustain a healthy, supportive work environment for all.
