Career fairs and events

VCU hosts career fairs during the fall and spring semesters. Each fair offers students and alumni the opportunity to network with employers from a wide range of industries. More information about career fairs and participating employers can be found on Handshake.

Although professional dress is not required to attend these events, it is recommended to support your best first impression with employers.

How to register for a career and internship fair 

Register for any of our career fairs through Handshake. If you would like to discuss networking during a career fair, update your career materials, or update your professional wardrobe before attending a career fair, you can make a career advising or Suit Yourself Closet appointment through Handshake.

Social Work Meet & Greet: Virtual Panel Discussion and Networking

Brought to you by the VCU School of Social Work and VCU Career Services, join us for a virtual agency meet and greet. We will start with a panel discussion and end with break out rooms as an opportunity to speak more closely and intentionally with the agency representatives. Panelists from the following organizations will be present: -Representing Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board is Brian Anderson, LPC, LCPC, CSAC - Service Director for the Engagement Assessment Referral and Wellness Health Promotion and Prevention Programs -Representing KIPP DC Public Schools is Phoebe Davis, Associate Director of Talent Pipelines -Representing enCircle are both Kadi Lenor-Caballero- Recruitment Specialist and Andreina Chavez - Senior Long-Term Case Manager Panelists will introduce themselves, share specific details about their agency, and talk about possible open positions they are hiring for. Audience members will then have an opportunity to ask the representative questions. This event will be virtual and hosted on Zoom.
